Orobo With No Sense – Abba Bichi Slams Teni For Snubbing Buhari

Condemnations are still pouring in after Teni, on receiving her Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) award, avoided a handshake from President Muhammadu Buhari.

The latest is coming from Abba Bichi, the son of the Director General of the Department of State Security Service (DSS), Yusuf Magaji Bichi.

He has slammed Nigerian Singer Teniola Apata, widely known as, Teni, over her alleged refusal to pay her respect to President Buhari while receiving a national award.

The 29-year-old musician was among the 450 people conferred the national honours award on Tuesday. She was decorated with a Member of the Order of the Niger (MON).

However, during the event, Teni, when called up, received her award from the president without bowing or shaking his hands.

Teni’s conduct sparked different reactions online, as many Nigerians accused her of disrespecting the presidency.

Reacting to this development, Abba insisted that Teni was disrespectful to Buhari.

He lambasted Teni via his Instagram page and said: “Orobo with zero sense, even her excellency okonjo bowed down her head as a sign of respect to the president and commander in chief of the armed forces, likewise other high-ranking government officials. Who are you not to respect the president? This is disgusting and disturbing. Yoruba people are best known for their respect for elders but it got to your turn and you decided to be arrogant”.
