The drop in the latest ranking by the Super Eagles may be linked to their underwhelming displays in last month’s international break.

This is the last FIFA ranking before the Qatar World Cup in November, and Brazil will head into the world cup as football’s highest-ranked nation after convincing wins against Ghana and Tunisia.

The next rankings will be released on December 22, after the World Cup.
