Nigeriens Deface Signposts With Buhari’s Name On Niamey Highway, Call Nigerian President ‘Criminal’

A highway named after President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria in the Republic of Niger has been defaced by some citizens of the country.

Several signposts on the road were seen designed with inscriptions insulting Buhari.

In one of the inscriptions, Buhari was tagged a criminal and some Nigerians on social media have expressed their displeasure over the development.

Some charged the government of Niger to investigate the matter and fish out the perpetrators.

Others said the inscriptions covered the instructions on the signposts and were making road users find it difficult to read the original signs.
