Revealed: Why Pastor Chris divorced his wife

Founder of Believers LoveWorld Ministry aka Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has finally spoken on the divorce suit filed in 2014 and finalized in 2016.

Reasons for Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s divorce have been revealed.

After 23 years of marriage, many rumors circulated about the demise of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and his then-wife, Anita Ebhodaghe’s, marriage and the reasons for the divorce, which was finalized in 2016.

Headlines ranged from speculation of remarriage on both parts and that Pastor Chris Oyakhilome had found a new wife.

The pastor’s marriage to his then-wife, Anita Ebhodaghe, was portrayed as a fairytale, and they were role models for many of the congregants at his church, Christ Embassy.

However, not even the strongest marriages are immune from problems, some of which are too big to resolve.

“Marital problems can occur to all couples”

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and Anita Ebhodaghe married in a low-profile ceremony in 1991 in Lagos, Nigeria.

As a Man of God, he was focused on establishing and growing his church, Christ Embassy, and spreading the word of God to millions of people around the world.

Anita Ebhodaghe also became a minister of Christ Embassy, but ultimately their vision for the future of the church did not align.

In previous interviews, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has said that marital problems can occur to all couples, even those close to God.

Since the divorce, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has spoken about marriage problems and remarriage at some of his services.

He maintains that it is essential for believers to share life with the correct person. Still, it is also normal to face problems in marital life, he has claimed.

As Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and his then-wife navigated the painful process of their divorce, the rumors circling about the couple were hurtful and sometimes even cruel.

In an early interview, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome said: “A man of God is set on a course; there is a type of life that he is given.”

Pastor Chris answers questions about divorce, marriage and dating

The Christ Embassy Founder has not only faced questions about his own marriage and divorce, but also those of other people.

As a respected spiritual leader, pastor, mentor, healer, author and philanthropist, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s community turns to him for advice on all areas of their lives, including marriage, weddings and even divorce.

In a popular online forum of his church, members of Christ Embassy turn to him for guidance.

Questions range from whether a Christian can date a non-believer, what the right age for marriage is and even questions on divorce are presented to him.

Life after Pastor Chris’ divorce

Despite rumors of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome having a new wife, he has not remarried, and he is still dedicated to Christ Embassy.

While continuing life on his own, the Man of God has focused on the growth and leadership of Christ Embassy.

He exudes an insatiable passion for soul-winning and reaching the people of the world with God’s manifested presence, saying: “In God’s pursuit of souls, He has taken away every limit, mandating us to reach and disciple 7 billion people with His divine message.”

He has achieved remarkable success through the worldwide distribution of his daily devotional, Rhapsody of Realities. Also known as the ‘messenger angel’, the spiritual guideline is now available in all 7,858 living languages of the world, according to the pastor.

Pastor Chris’ divorce does not keep him from humanitarian work

Since the divorce, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has also continued his philanthropic work through the NGO that he established in Nigeria, the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation International (COFI).

The organization has received a lot of praise and admiration for the enormous contribution it has made to Africa and other parts of the world.

Through various campaigns and partnerships, the pastor has contributed to the education, healthcare and well-being of millions of indigent children throughout the years.

Since its establishment in 2008, COFI has built dozens of schools, orphanages and facilities for children to be able to continue their education.

Not even one month into the new year, the organization has already commissioned and built a passport processing waiting lounge to service the community of Alausa, Nigeria.

COFI has also donated 500 million Naira to the Chief Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta, Nigeria through its partner, the Future Africa Leaders’ Foundation (FALF), which operates under the auspices of COFI.

FALF seeks to develop young African leaders through its mentorship programs, one of which is the Future Africa Leaders’ Awards (FALA) program, held every year at the New Year’s Eve Service with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.

Having just concluded the 10th anniversary of the award ceremony, it was revealed that the pastor through COFI had invested a cash grant of over 1 billion Naira in the last 10 years to families across the continent of Africa.
