NGF Election Crisis: Jang Apologises To Nigerians

Jonah JangPlateau State Governor, Jonah Mr Jang, who is embroiled in a leadership tussle of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) with Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State, has apologised to Nigerians over some of the issues raised at the Forum’s election last Friday.

Jang, who was speaking in Jos while receiving members of the Executive Council of North Central zone of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), led by Yusuf Ayitogo, who paid him a solidarity visit over his claimed election victory at the NGF, said that his leadership will correct the mistakes of the past while efforts are ongoing to reconcile all aggrieved members of the Forum.

He also assured the visiting executives that the Forum will work out a permanent structure in choosing its leadership without rancour by reverting to the original constitution that does not give room for a second term in office.

Ayitogo, who led the delegation and doubles as vice chairman of PDP in north central zone, affirmed the ability of Governor Jang in reconciling all aggrieved members and urged other governors to give Jang the opportunity to reorganise the Forum.

  1. Hmm! In a democratic setting, the winner is normally the candidate with d highest vote. How did jang now won d ngf election. What is d diff btw this regime, tyranny & dictatorship setting? The presidency shld bury their faces in shame. It’s barbaric & absurd dat this is happening in Nigeria. Jang, it will be a big shame on u if u allow these devil incarnate to push u around. And if u do, d future nigerian wont forget d role u played in bastardizing this country. Long live Nigeria.

  2. I thought Jang wants to say something useful. I don’t want to say anythin on this again, but if Gov. Amechi is not reinstated as the NGF chair, jonathan’s failure come 2015 is guaranteed. This is the highest level of political imaturity by these disgruntled elements (PDP).

  3. Am just confused please who is the chairman of this forum considering the outcome of the election. Am surprised if 35 governor can not conduct election between them and come out with one voice to tell us who won and who fail the election l wonder how 2015 will look like.
