John Utaka Joins Turkish Side Sivasspor.

Nigeria international forward John Utaka has signed a two-year contract with Turkish club, Sivasspor.

According to a statement released on Sivasspor’s official website:

Utaka, who left Portsmouth at the start of the 2011/12 season, joined French club HSC Montpellier, helping them win the Ligue 1 title the same season.

The 31-year-old has 43 caps for Nigeria scoring six goals.

In another transfer development, Warri Wolves defender Thankgod Ike is set to join Libyan side Al-Ittihad.

The centre-half secured a two-year deal with the Tripoli-based club on Tuesday and will be travel to his new club next week.

“It was a dream to learn about it (transfer),” Thankgod told supersport.com. “I am happy to be taking my talents to the Libyan league and I will be a good ambassador for the country.”
