NFF, Lagos State, Say All is Set for an Epic Federation Cup Finale on Sunday.

The Nigeria Football Federation and the host city of this year’s Federation Cup finals, says final preparation for an epic event has been set in motion.

Sunday’s grand finale at the Teslim balogun Stadium kicks off at 1.30pm with the women’s final between Rivers Angels of Port-Harcourt and Nasarawa Amazons of Lafia.

“We are working in harmony with Lagos State to achieve a spectacular show, even better than what we had last year,” NFF General Secretary, Barrister Musa Amadu said.

“I must commend the Lagos State Government for its support and commitment to bringing back the glory days of the Federation Cup.”

The Special Guests of Honour will be the Honourable Minister of Sports/ Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi.

Chief Host, Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) of Lagos State will be supported by Governor Theodore Orji of Abia State and Emmmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State.

The Main Organising Committee, co-chaired by Hon. Wahid Oshodi and NFF’s Vice President 1, Chief Mike Umeh have confirmed the expansion of the State Box at the venue of the finals to accommodate ore top dignitaries. They’ve also announced plans for a comprehensive security arrangement with about 1,000 security personnel expected to be deployed to the Teslim Balogun Stadium venue.

Among the FA Cup Legends expected to feature at the event includes: Jossy Dombraye, Dominic Iorfa, Toyin Ayinla, Stanley Eguma, Paul ‘wonder boy’ Hamilton, Joe Erico and Walter Oyatogun alongside the family members of the late Mudashiru Babatunde Lawal and Amusa Shittu.

The men’s final begins at 4pm and will have two-time finalists Enyimba of Aba lock horns with Warri Wolves.
