Ambrose Agrees a New Four-Year Celtic Deal.

Super Eagles defender Efe Ambrose has agreed a new four-year contract with Scottish champions Celtic.

Ambrose, 24, has been a regular member of Neil Lennon’s starting XI, forming a solid defensive partnership with new arrival Virgil Van Dijk this season.

He arrived at Celtic Park from Israeli club FC Ashdod last August for an undisclosed fee.

He scored for the ‘Hoops’ in the Champions League qualifying match against Cliftonville in July, as well as playing a key role in Celtic’s league and cup doubles in his first season at Parkhead.

Ambrose Set to Remain at Parkhead Until 2017.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Celtic so far and I am absolutely delighted to extend my stay at such a fantastic club,” he told Celtic’s official website.

The new deal means his present contract expires in the summer of 2017.
