Rosicky Will Sign a New Arsenal Contract- Wenger

Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky will sign a new contract according to manager Arsene Wenger.

The 33-year-old Czech Republic international is out of contract in the summer, having featured for the Gunners since 2006, when he joined from Borussia Dortmund.

He has featured 26 times for Wenger’s men so far, scoring his first goal of the season in the 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup.

“Tomas Rosicky will stay,” said Wenger. “We have an agreement with him and it will come out soon.

“I am absolutely adamant he has to stay at the club.

“He makes things happen, not with individual dribbling but with individual acceleration of his passing and his runs. Today he is a real organiser on the pitch as well. I like to have him in the team because he gives a real structure to our team.”

The former Sparta Praque midfielder has scored 21 goals in 93 international appearances for the Czech Republic.
