Ibrahimovic Out of PSG’s Trip to Stamford Bridge

Paris St-Germain confirms injured Zlatan Ibrahimovic will miss the return leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie with Chelsea.

The capital club travel to Stamford Bridge hoping to maintain a 3-1 lead from midweek’s first-leg tie at the Parc des Princes, next Tuesday.

The Swede picked up a thigh injury during the second half of the first leg win.

“It’s a bad blow for us,” says PSG coach Laurent Blanc. “He will be unavailable for the weeks ahead without a determined duration.

“He is a player who scores a lot of goals and brings lots to the team.”

The French champions highlighted their extra attacking prowess in Ibrahimovic’s absence and Lucas Moura could once again be called to fill in for the striker.

Chelsea need to score two goals without conceding in front of their home fans to progress into the last-4 of the tournament.
