TNMCoupleSadAngry_feature-588x260Your spouse does something nice for you just because. When it doesn’t have to be a special occasion for them to do something nice for you, be grateful. A spouse who comes home with that cute little item you mentioned weeks ago, just because, is a blessing.

Your spouse believes in your dreams, no matter what. When they can see you achieving your goals as clearly as you can, be grateful. Whether your ideas are off track and makes absolutely no sense to anyone else in the world, if your spouse still supports it, you are blessed.

Your spouse keeps the family spiritually grounded. If you have a spouse who is able to maintain a spiritual connection and be led by God in all things, be grateful. Recognizing and acknowledging the source of where all of our blessings flow is an actual blessing itself.

Your spouse actually listens to you. If you are married to someone who values your voice and opinions, be grateful. A spouse who is cognizant of your likes and dislikes and consistently adheres to them is a blessing.

Your spouse is gentle with your heart. If your spouse realizes your feelings are valid and treats them as such, be grateful. Even when we wonder why we feel the way we do, a spouse who doesn’t question or judge is a true blessing.

If your marriage hasn’t quite arrived here just yet, not to worry. Change can happen in any situation. We have to be lovingly honest when sharing our needs with our spouse. Telling them what makes us feel loved without shifting blame or pointing fingers is how transformation happens. Be vulnerable and communicate all of your needs to your spouse.
