Celtic have signed Ghana winger Mubarak Wakaso from Russian side Rubin Kazan on a season-long loan with an option to buy.

Visa and work-permit issues had delayed the completion of the 24-year-old deal for over a week. But Wakaso is in contention for his debut against Dundee on Sunday.

The ex-Ashanti gold forward has been capped 19 times by Ghana. He was named in coach Kwessi Appiah’s squad at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
