Oshoala Scores Twice as Falcons Clinch World Cup Ticket

Asisat Oshoala’s first-half brace helped Nigeria seal a 2-1 win over South Africa in the semi-finals of the 2014 African Women Championship (AWC) on Wednesday.

The win means the Super Falcons are the first side to progress to the final of the biennial championship and also implies that they have grabbed the first of three tickets available for the continent for next year’s Fifa World Cup in Canada.

Nigeria will face the winners of the other semi-final between Cameroon and Cote d’Ivoire in Saturday’s final at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek.
