Invited Foreign-Based Pros Will Beat Flying Eagles’ Jan 15 Deadline

Invited overseas-based professionals for Nigeria’s U-20 men’s internationals training camp ahead the 2015 Africa Youth Championship will beat the January 15 ultimatum handed them, officials have disclosed.

“We have been following up on the release of the foreign pros called up for the African Youth Championship (AYC) and so far the signals have been very encouraging,” team secretary Auwal Aliyu Ibrahim said.

“For instance, Musa Yahaya is off to Malaysia for an international tournament with the Spurs youth team and has called to say he will join us as soon as he returns.

“Chidera Eze has also assured he will come in before the January 15 deadline set by the coach for all overseas-based players to report to the training camp in Kaduna.”

In the meantime, Sweden-based Taiwo Awoniyi and Musa Muhammed have been training with the AYC-bound Flying Eagles.

The other foreign-bases professionals invited for the training camp include Moses Simon, Kingsley Madu, Isaac Success, Kelechi Iheanacho and Chidiebere Nwakali.
