Warri Wolves Drawn Away To AC Leopard In Confederation Cup Play-Off

Glo Premier League club Warri Wolves have been drawn against Congolese outfit AC Leopard in the Play-off round of the Caf Confedration Cup.

The draw, which was conducted at the Caf headquarters in Cairo, Egypt on Tuesday, saw eight Champions League second round losers paired against eight other sides who recorded successes in the second round of the Confederation Cup.

AC Leopard failed to progress into the Group phase of the elite league at the expense of Egyptian debutantes Smouha following a 2-1 aggregate loss in Alexandria last weekend.

They will host Nigeria’s sole representative Wolves in the weekend of 15, 16, 17 May before facing a trip to Warri three weeks later.

Wolves saw off MK Entanchiete of Congo Brazaville 3-1 on aggregate score, after last weekend’s 1-0 victory away in Kinshasa.
