Myth 1: Makeup is bad for your skin.
Although it is often blamed for causing acne flare-ups, using a water-based, non-comedogenic and mineral foundation should not cause breakouts.

Myth 2: Only use a water based cream no matter what your skin type.
Although true for oily, acne prone skin, oil based products are excellent to deeply moisturize dry skin. the best time to apply is after a shower.

Myth 3: Brown spots are unavoidable
If you have tan, olive or brown-skin, pimples can cause inflammation, which can lead to brown spots. Avoid acne with an over the counter treatment like benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid, thus preventing brown spots.
