Singapore Launches Self Driving Taxis

Singapore has launched self-driving taxi, the first country in the world to do so. The company responsible for the service, NuTunomy has said the service will begin with just six cars and will expand to 12 before the end of the year.

At the time of its launch, the taxis will still come with a human backup driver on board. Just like Uber, users will be able to hail rides through their smartphones.
