Ighalo Follows Mikel; Retires From National Team

Super Eagles striker, Jude Odion Ighalo, has announced his retirement from the Nigeria national team after helping the team to clinch third place at the 2019 African Cup of Nations.

His announcement followed that of Mikel who announced earlier that he has bowed out of the national team.

Ighalo is in the running for the highest goal award at Egypt 2019 after notching 5 goals with only Rhyan Mahrez of Algeria behind him on four goals.

He has since returned to China where he plies his trade.
