An election tribunal sitting in Kogi has sacked the member representing Kogi West in the upper chambers of the National Assembly, Dino Melaye, and ordered a fresh election in the senatorial district.
Dino Melaye’s victory was challenged by the All Progressive Congress(APC) candidate during the poll, Smart Adeyemi, on grounds that the election was marred with irregularities and fraud.

The three-man panel led by Justice A. O. Chijioke in a unanimous judgment on Friday, ruled in favour of Adeyemi. The panel further order for re-election in the senatorial district.”
