According to Chinese officials six health workers have died, 1,716 have been infected since the outbreak while more than 1,300 people are now known to have died from the virus.
There are also reports that health workers in Wuhan have resorted to shaving their heads in a bid to prevent cross-infection of the coronavirus.
The latest figures show 122 new deaths in China, bringing the toll to 1,381 while a total number of infections has reached 63,922 cases, says the National Health Commission.

Authorities in Wuhan have had to create extra hospital space in order to manage with large numbers of cases of the deadly virus.
