My friends took me out to a party one day because they wanted me to relax. My boyfriend jilted me for another girl and I was very sad. So that day, I reluctantly followed them to the party. I was so quiet even when my friends were dancing all over the party. So, this gentleman just walked up to me and asked me to dance with him. I told him I was not interested, but he was so persistent. Later, we exchanged phone numbers. He has been calling me ever since then. Now, he wants me to come to Port Harcourt and spend the weekend with him, he said we need to know each other because he has fallen in love with me as he said. I am schooling in Lagos. I am very bored and I just need to clear my head, but I don’t really know who this guy is, I mean I don’t have much information about him. Should I go and visit him, I am so bored here.

Dear Ada,
I understand that life can be boring sometimes, especially when we are let down by people we love. However, this is a stranger, you don’t know what he does or who he is. It is very dangerous to go there…. Remember Cintia, the girl who was killed by strangers she met online! I pray that does not happen to you. There are other things you can do to kill boredom; hang out with your friends, play the games you love and learn new skills e.g. catering. Time is everything, you would surely get over that guy sooner than you think. Once again, it is dangerous to visit people you barely know, especially when you have to travel down. Be careful.
