Unknown gunmen dressed in military fatigue stormed an uncompleted building behind Legislator’s Quarters in Apo, Abuja in the early hours of this morning Friday September 20th killing over 20 people.

The people killed were inhabitants of the uncompleted building.
According to eyewitnesses, the owner of a building close to the uncompleted building had warned people who pass the night in the building to desist from it, but they refused. Then the massacre this morning happened.
A resident in the area said that at about 12:30am he heard gunshot severally throughout the night, causing panic in the area. The number of people who died may be more than 20.

What I heard and reliably gathered was that the soldiers came under attack when they came to that building to exhume weapons buried by boko haram in that house. The killing of those guys is related to Boko haram. Some of them may be truly innocent but I can tell u that the house is used by boko haram. Another question is; if they are innocent civilians, why were they shooting the soldiers? I can also tell you this that no matter how bad Nigeria is, Nigerian soldiers cannot pinpoint a house and go there to carry a surgical and isolated attack there if nothing is fishing. Just think of it, it cant happen. Something must be wrong somewhere for soldiers to have carried that attack. Even when fulani herdsmen killed a son of a soldier in Akure, there was no such surgical reprisal. As far as I am concern, something must be happening. Don’t really blame the soldiers. Spasiba
