Punch reports that the First Lady of Nigeria made her position known on March 14, Saturday, during the Peoples Democratic Party women rally held in Benin, Edo state.

Dame Patience, who was accompanied by the PDP national and state leaders, arrived at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, venue of the rally, at about 1.30pm.

The event was marked by an unfortunate situation as the two purportedly aggrieved youths from the PDP tore down some banners with the image of the president’s wife.

The two were removed from the venue by the local security.

Addressing women, Mrs Jonathan explained why her husband must stay in the office for another term. She was quoted as saying by The Nation:

“Everybody is staying there for eight years. Now it’s our turn. We must complete our eight years. It is a constitution of this country. We will complete our two tenure and hand over.

“I am a peaceful person and I preach peace anywhere I go. They are looking for fight, they are looking for war. They are troublesome people. That is why they went and take expired drugs.

“Now they are crying. They are the people stoning people and nobody talk. They are dragging stadium but me I am ready to go to the street and do my campaign.

“The president is building schools. That is why in the whole federation when he came in, he built universities in every state. He built federal universities so that our children should go and learn.

“Goodluck has built uncountable hospitals, primary health centres. He equipped primary health centres, trained doctors and nurses.

“In Edo State, the federal university has been rehabilitated and well equipped for us. He gave our sons scholarships. Mr. President is ready to pay if you don’t have money to pay for your children.

“They were there years back. They have nothing to offer. Ask them what they offered to us when they were there. They were in Aso Rock before, what did they forget in Aso Rock they want to go and take. Days are gone when old people will continue to dominate us.”

It should be noted that Dame Patience, tenderly called “Mama Peace” by her admirers, has been recently involved in a series of controversies overher scandalous quotes directed at the opposition.

She was criticized over trying to incite violence in the country ahead of the general elections. To which the president’s wife responded that she is “a woman of peace” who hates violence.

    • If you want to know who makes fool of himself, Buhari goes first before others. He is a man without certificate but wants to be president, he that can’t pronounce the meaning of APC correctly, his partys abbreviation. He that cannot make a good sentence in simple english but wants to be president, he that lied under oath that his certificate is with the military, he that went to rest in london at the middle of a match, he that makes Nigerians to put their head down whenever he’s addressing people in english language, first remove the speck in your eyes before removing others.
