USA Wins Gold in Women’s 4x100m Relay

The United State of America, USA, won  gold in the women’s 4x100m relay ahead of Great Britain in a time of 41.82 seconds.

With the medal, Allyson Felix won her 15th world career medal on Saturday as the United States won the women’s relay gold.

The Americans timed 41.82 seconds with 100m world champion Tori Bowie bringing home the baton.

Great Britain took silver in 42.12 seconds with Jamaica third in 42.19 seconds.

Felix’s gold takes her to the all-time leader in terms of world medals – one ahead of Jamaican duo Merlene Ottey and Usain Bolt.

As they come off the final bend it’s close between USA, Britain, Germany and Jamaica but Torie Bowie shows the pace which won her the 100m world title to win by a comfortable margin, with Britain taking a well-earned silver ahead of Jamaica in third!

For Great Britain, the quartet of Asha Philip, Desiree Henry, Dina Asher-Smith and Daryll Neita came home in 42.12 seconds as the United States claimed gold in a world-leading 41.82secs.

Britain were roared home by a packed London Stadium crowd and Neita, on the anchor leg, held off Jamaica by 0.07 seconds to secure second place.
