An ex Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly has narrowly escaped death in a fatal road accident as his driver dies.
Alh. Umar Yau Gwajogwajo, a former Speaker, Katsina State House of Assembly, on Wednesday evening survived a fatal motor accident involving himself and his driver, Abubakar Kwatarawa.
According to Vanguard, the driver, Kwatarawa was said to have lost his life in the accident which happened around Bunbun town in Maiadua Local government area of Katsina State.
The incident involving his Toyota Jeep vehicle occurred when the tyre of the vehicle got burst on the move.
Gwajogwajo who doubles as the Katsina State Chairman of All Farmers Association of Nigeria, AFAN was said to be on his way returning from Farm when the incident happened.
Information gathered revealed that Gwajogwajo sustained injuries and was hospitalized at the Orthopedic hospital in the state.
The incident was also coming two weeks after he lost his mother.
