Super Eagles Depart For Portugal Enroute Ghana Today

Super EaglesBarely less than 23 days to the commencement of the 2013 Orange African Cup of Nations in South Africa, the Super Eagles will be departing for Faro, Portugal any moment from now but not before they would have had their last training session at the Abuja National Stadium training pitch Thursday morning.

The players who will not be making the Portugal trip will be decamped same day even as head coach, Stephen Keshi took time off to salute the determination and commitment of the home-based professionals during training.

“It’s a shame that we can’t take all of them to Faro, but what they have done here shows that they are true professionals and I know when we return they will be part of the set up for the next round of qualifiers in the national team”.

According to the team’s travel itinerary, the players and officials would depart the country en route Ghana from where they will jet out to Portugal for the foreign leg of their training camp in Faro.
