Post FAT Testing Manager – Cameron Nigeria

Job Description
General Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of Post-FAT testing through EFAT, SIT and SRT activities up to and including hook-up, commissioning and handover to Total
  • Comprehend contractual conditions and specifications, and identify Cameron liability to the same. Look for commercial and technical cost savings
  • Oversee development of a realistic plan for all activities from receipt of Contract through to delivery, including such detail as necessary to define critical activities to comply with contractual requirements
  • Advise functional departments of evaluated resource requirements to assure the timely completion of project activities to plan. Continually monitor, revise and ensure additional resources are deployed where applicable
  • Constantly monitor the plan, to identify the relevant functional department activities and critical items having significant impact on the project schedule which consequently warrant special attention and take action to resolve
  • Communicate with other managers to ensure accurate information is made available at all times to facilitate effective decision making for the benefit of the assigned project
  • Identify problem areas, evaluate and initiate corrective action, monitor and reschedule the project schedule with respect of time and required resource due to the impact of this corrective action
  • Manages operational input into the design of the equipment, participates in HAZID reviews coordinates and participates in rig surveys
  • Manages and participates in the project test program, Coordinates shipping and transportation of the equipment, supervises the subsea operations services activities and liaises with Company’s offshore operations engineers
  • Manages the final transition from manufacturing/testing to Installation and Life of Field Services under the aftermarket contract

Experience/Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering with preferably 10 years engineering/manufacturing experience in the oilfield equipment manufacturing industry. Substantial experience of project management preferably gained in heavy engineering or the oilfield industry. Substantial experience in testing is an essential requirement
  • 5 or more years’ experience in a senior testing position
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
