Job Title: Head, Business Development

Job Description

As the Head of Business Development, it is your responsibility to manage our key relationships in Africa, including Major Music Labels & Artists, Mobile Phone manufacturers/Telcos and Other Partnerships.
You are to provide our key customers with key technology solutions for a wide range of industries and create long-term customers with experiences built on trust.
You develop and drive the business strategy and manage business development teams across Africa.
You are to identify and develop new businesses and products that can enhance Business growth.
By leading and inspiring all partners to provide unparalleled customer service, you foster long-term loyalty to Spinlet and its business solutions.
– Develop, Implement, Adapt, Drive & Monitor Market Business Strategies
– Manage Projects from the Business angle
– Infuse the business vision into each market location.
– Develop and maintain strong client relationships
– Manage relationships with Spinlet key accounts.
– Foster consistent practices for all locations with the ability to manage unique
variances in each market
– Develop talent – building a strong business team that helps companies succeed
and enables our stores to reach and exceed performance goals.
– Grow client base in Africa
– Follow up on new business opportunities
– Communicate new product developments to prospective clients
– Participate in budgetary and other top Management committees.
– Conduct research and feasibility analysis on new markets in Africa
– Maintain the Business Development databases
– Liaise with the legal team to develop content and media agreements
– Responsible for ongoing relationship management with intellectual property rights owners
– Present and articulate Company’s value proposition with ease, clarity, and
confidence to senior level executives, business development from large to
medium sized media companies.
– Represent acquisitions team’s interests across the company, interfacing with
your Account
– Participate in all aspects of negotiation in conjunction with legal (financial
analysis and forecasting, contract drafting, amendments);
– Manage and evaluate external partnerships, in tandem with Account
Management, through performance tracking and cultivating a healthy
relationship to increase additional business;
– Communicate market trends, competitive analysis and industry shifts, including
implications and recommendations, to internal and external partners
– Attend industry conferences to network, develop future business, and remain
current to industry topics
– All other duties as may be assigned by a Director of the Company
Desired Skills & Experience

– Bachelors degree is required. A Masters degree is a plus.
– 10+ years working experience out of which 5 should have been in Management.
– 5+ years of experience managing businesses or large projects.
– Must be familiar with the entertainment industry and its practices.
– Experience building respected leadership teams and developing talent to support
business growth.
– Ability to lead and influence cross-functional relationships with both internal and
external partners.
– Proven ability to create new relationships and manage existing ones, and build
loyalty within a market region.
– Strong understanding of how to position technology-based solutions for business
clients.
– Must have demonstrated leadership and management skills.
– Requires strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
– Requires a collaborative work style, fostering cooperation and teamwork.
– Requires knowledge to review and interpret survey and other data.
– Must have strong analytical skills, including the ability to extract, compile &
analyse data
– Requires advanced verbal and written communications skills in English, in
addition to effective interpersonal skills.
– Cross-industry experience is welcome
