Manchester City’s second signing of the summer Jesus Navas has expressed optimism on new coach, Manuel Pellegrini, as the 27-year-old Spaniard looks forward to the new season.

City confirmed the former Real Madrid and Villareal manager on Friday, to replace Roberto Mancini, who left the Etihad Stadium after losing to Wigan in the FA Cup final.

Among the Chilean’s priorities, regaining the Premier League title back from neighbours, Manchester United is utter to the rest.

The 59-year-old manager expressed his satisfaction with City’s present squad at his press conference on Friday, saying: “I’m sure we have the best squad in the Premier League, wonderful players and can reach more titles in the next three or four years in Manchester.”

City’s second signing of the summer transfer window Navas is excited about next season and believes the club’s new 59-year-old coach will succeed at the club.

“Everything I know about him is positive. Every team he coaches play well, and everyone in the city will support him,” Navas told the club’s official website.

“He’s important because he will help the team and we all know the importance of a good manager and a good person that we trust.

Navas was brought into the City fold from Sevilla for a fee said to be in the region of £14.9m potentially and could increase to £16.5 in the course of his contract.
