Super Eagles playmaker John Mikel Obi chooses to do the talking on the pitch as Nigeria prepares for a decisive 2014 FIFA World Cup playoff return leg match against Ethiopia on Saturday.
The Chelsea of England midfielder, who has been nominated alongside teammate Victor Moses for the BBC African Footballer of the Year award, has said he and the other members of the squad prefers staking all their concentration on the encounter and will be willing to say much after the game.
“We have a very important game on our hands and it won’t be nice to talk too much, but after the game we can talk and have fun but for now it’s total concentration for business and the coaching crew and my teammates agree with my position,” says Mikel.
The Eagles battle the Walya Antelopes of Ethiopia at the UJ Esuene Stadium, Calabar for a place in next summmer’s Brazil World Cup.
