Responsibilities
Installation, maintenance, repairs and troubleshoots surface wellhead systems. Carry out Surface operations, equipment and tools, test, inventory, offshore shipping, maintenance, safety and environmental control.
Main Tasks
– Work independently to execute surface wellhead installation. Supervises the surface drilling systems and ensuring the effective utilization of equipment, maximizing the efficiency and productivity of the surface drilling system operation. Ensures a proactive approach is taken when planning goals and actions. Ensures that corrective actions and preventative actions are put in place before issues arise.
– Provide project start-up expertise, to include oversight during first installation. Mobilizing and demobilizing of equipment, keep inventory of all tools available, carry out equipment repair both onshore and offshore field. Discuss and share field experience with less experienced technicians.
– Assures all equipment, service tooling and spare parts are on location, ready and function fit to use prior to beginning each job. Provide offshore training and development support to less experienced technicians.
– Plan maintenance activities and determines appropriate procedures. Liaison with operations in the area of common concern. Investigates and troubleshoots equipment problems.
– Maintains communication with Company Representative on issues including job procedures, spare parts requirements. Completes field Non-Conformance Report (FNCR) form as product problems are encountered. Handles customer complaints in a professional manner.
– Interfaces with other FMC Technologies functional areas including Field Service, Sales, Materials, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality Control and Accounting in order to obtain and share information relating to Surface operations, Engineering Specifications, tooling availability, Schedules, etc.
Skills And Requirements
Degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent experience. MBA preferred.
2 – 5 years+ Surface wellhead equipment and Xmas tree installations experience in oil and gas drilling operations.
Familiarity of surface equipment and offshore marine drilling operations.
Good communications and interpersonal skills are critical in order to interface with and motivate all levels of personnel.
PC skills and knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.
