The agent of Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool target Arda Turan has claimed that his client has been the subject of an offer from an English club.

Atletico Madrid midfielder Turan enjoyed an impressive 2013/14 season, playing a crucial role in Los Rojiblancos’ fairytale rise to prominence as La Liga champions and European finalists.

His impressive form at the Vicente Calderon certainly does not appear to have gone undetected abroad, with the Red Devils and their fierce Merseyside rivals having been credited with an interest in the Turkish international along with Arsene Wenger’s men.

And while representative Ahmet Bulut was keen to acknowledge Atletico’s status and lofty hopes for the future, he conceded that a club from England had
made an offer and that it was up to the club and the player to reach some sort of agreement.

“Arda is currently playing at a big club with big ambitions. He wants to be part of success, but we have to wait and see what happens. There is an offer from an English club arrived,” he was quoted by
Dutch source Voetbal Primeur.

“At every transfer two parties, the player and club.

They must make a decision.” While Bulut is careful to omit the name of the English
team that has formally lodged their interest in signing Turan, one must assume that only one of the Premier League’s top heavyweights would have a
realistic chance of enticing him away from La Liga.

New Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal will certainly need to bring new midfielders to Old Trafford this summer and the passionate Turan is a player who would appear to fit in with the
Dutchman’s philosophy.

Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool are also expected to be significant players during the next transfer window, with Reds boss Brendan Rodgers surely set to attempt to reinforce several areas of his squad to ensure that they are prepared for their
imminent return to the Champions League.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is not particularly short on midfield options, but Turan would surely be a popular signing among Gunners fans.{GMS}
