Barca To Face Bilbao In Copa del Rey Final

Barcelona will face Athletic Bilbao in the Copa del Rey final after goals from Neymar and Luis Suarez sealed a 6-2 aggregate win over Villarreal on Wednesday night.

Barca came into the second leg with a 3-1 advantage and started from where they left off with an early Neymar strike.

Jonathan Dos Santos leveled against his former club but after Tomas Pina was sent off for an innocuous tackle on Sergio Busquets, Suarez rounded Villarreal goalkeeper to restore Barca’s second leg lead before Neymar added a late header.

Bilbao won 2-0 at Espanyol to close out a 3-1 aggregate victory and will meet the Catalans in the final on 30 May.

The final will pit two of the most successful teams in the competition’s history against each other; Barca with 26 wins, have three more than Bilbao.

It will be a first final in the managerial career of coach Luis Enrique and Barca’s 37th in the Copa del Rey.
