Turkish Club Closes Taiye Taiwo’s Contract By Mutual Consent

Bursaspor have announced it has terminated Taiye Taiwo’s contract by mutual consent.

Taiwo, who joined the side from AC Milan in July 2013, had been surplus to requirement since the start of the season.

His contract was due to expire at the end of the 2015-16 season, but Bursaspor have moved quick to offload the former Gabros international and Lobi Stars left-back.

The Nigerian defender “failed to impress” the technical crew at Polish outfit Legia Warsaw on a weeks-long trial earlier in the year.

Bursaspor announced on its official website that it has “dissolved Taiwo’s contract by mutual understanding.”

The 2005 World Youth Championship bronze medalist, 30, had loan spells at Premier League club Queens Park Rangers and Ukrainian outfit Dynamo Kiev before joining Bursaspor.
