Lukas Podolski Joins Galatasaray from Arsenal

Germany international Lukas Podolski has joined Galatasaray from Arsenal.

The 30-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the Turkish club for a fee reported to worth £2.8m.

Podolski scored 31 goals in 82 appearances in two-and-a-half seasons at the Emirates stadium, after joining from German club FC Koln.

He helped Arsenal win the FA Cup in 2013 but spent the latter part of last season on loan at Inter Milan.

His departure is not expected to affect Arsene Wenger’s ambitions in the coming season, with the north London outfit still having the likes of Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez, Danny Welbeck, Olivier Giroud, Alexis Sanchez, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott to call upon.
