The Nigerian Defence Academy has reacted to the video that went viral yesterday showing army Cadets torturing a young man for saying a female officer was beautiful. According to a statement by the Academy, preliminary investigation so far shows that the incident happened somewhere in Lagos in 2014. The statement reads;
“The attention of The Nigerian Defence Academy has been drawn to a trending video showing Cadets beating some persons. Please note that NDA is investigating the incident. Preliminary investigation has confirmed the incident to have occurred in 2014 somewhere in Lagos while the Cadets were on break. NDA as a responsible institution saddled with task of producing future military leaders will not in anyway tolerate such unruly and flagrant mistreatment of Nigerians. The NDA under current leadership has addressed most disciplinary loopholes. Further investigation is continuing. Please assist and circulate. Thanks. Nigerian Defence Academy”.

Many occasion like this are in existence in the Nigerian army and i am telling you that many will still continue to happen cos of the brain washed training the army system are operatin gon since pre-colonialist era but i want us to look at the Britain, if that is how their soldiers are molesting the masses then Niherian army have to keep it up, when someone plait his hair or make tattoo or earring, then he is subjected to molestation by the so called Army officers,
That is human right abuse and she should be suspended for this ill treatment on a common Nigerians

This ain’t the 1st time they beat people up for no reason. I have witnessed one. They just started stopping bikers, especially ones with passengers. Imagine the speed those bikers are on and you just suddenly see someone flag you down, before you can slow on a major bad road, it would take time, they just jump in front of the bike with guns, pulling people off and hitting them (bike man especially for not stopping on time) with guns and slapping them as well. Men in uniforms are not supposed to hurt civilians, that’s the major rule I know in most countries. But this Nigeria, na wa!

The NDA’s response that the incident occurred in 2014 is not an excuse for that savagery exhibited by cadets under their watch. They should get to the root of this clip and punish those responsible accordingly and not make it the Nigerian pattern of sweeping serious issues under the carpet.
Sad that soldiers are supposed to be the most disciplined but these disgruntled elements have brought shame not only to the army but to the country at large.

I’m a victim in Suleja when an army man attached PW road construction asked me & my mechanic to lying in d gutter & face sun because we missed our way & even when I introduce my self as a public servant (FCDA STAFF) wit my ID he make us past through dat. I trust God by Nigeria security .
