APC Wins Adamawa Local Government Elections

The All Progressive Congress (APC) has been declared winners of the local government elections held on Saturday in Adamawa state.

Announcing the results, the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC), the APC won all the chairmanship seats of 18 local governments where results were announced.

The Chairman of the state commission, Alhaji Isa Shettima who announced the results on Monday stated that results from Michika, Lamurde and Numan Local Government Areas were not released because the elections were cancelled.

Alhaji Shettima added that the commission has fixed August 6 for the date of the fresh.

He said, “There will also be election in two wards in Guyuk Local government on the same date.”

However, the results of Councillor elections for the 226 wards in the state would be announced soon at the headquarters of the three senatorial zones.
