FG Launches Handbook On Education Quality Assurance

As part of ongoing efforts to improve the standard of basic education in Nigeria, the Federal Government has launched a National Education Quality Assurance Handbook.

The handbook is necessary for teaching standards to be harmonised at all levels of education below the tertiary level, the Minister of Education, Mr Adamu Adamu, said today at the official launch.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring an improved quality in the standard of basic and secondary education.

Meanwhile, the Chief Education Officer of UNICEF, Mr Terry Durnnian, who was also present at the occasion pledged the support of the global education fund towards improving the quality of education in Nigeria.
