This is not the best of time for a former gubernatorial aspirant in Lagos State, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro who has lost a family member just as he is dealing with the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over fraud allegations.
The mother of Senator Musiliu Obanikoro has died according to the Punch.
It was learnt that Alhaja Wasilat Obanikoro died in the early hours of Saturday in Lagos and she will be buried according to Islamic rites later this afternoon.
The details surrounding her demise are currently sketchy.
Obanikoro’s political career has been marred allegations of corruption as he reportedly pushes from a shift from the main opposition party – People’s Democratic Party to the ruling All Progressives Congress.
