Real Madrid To Capture Pogba With A World-Record $168 Million Bid This Summer

Paul Pogba

Real Madrid will make a £120m ($168 million) move for Paul Pogba this summer, according to The Sun UK.

The report revealed that Bernabeu bosses are now plotting an audacious bid for Pogba when the season ends following their La Liga flop. Real lost out when Pogba returned to Manchester United for a then world-record £89million in 2016.

The midfielder, 24, is only in the second year of a five-year contract at United, who have no intention of selling. And if that stance changed at Old Trafford, the Spaniards would need to offer well over £120m.

Much will depend on the player, who has, at times, cut an unhappy figure this season. The Frenchman was subbed during United’s defeat at Tottenham late last month and dropped for the Huddersfield game.

He was then subbed again against Newcastle. Publicly, Mourinho has been supportive of his superstar — praising his professional attitude. Pogba won two trophies in his first season back at United after quitting Juventus.

But despite sitting second in the league, big-spending United are 16 points behind neighbours Manchester City. Pogba currently has no intention of leaving United.

But that will not stop Real from trying to change his mind if things sour further for him before the season ends.
