How to avoid getting a death sentence

Senator Shehu Sani in a tweet on Thursday morning urged Nigerians to video the actual language, they are checking in at the airport counter.

This follows reports that a notorious airport cartel is in the business of planting drugs in travellers’ bag(s) or tagging their names and particulars to a bag containing drugs.

Recently, a young Nigerian student, Zainab Aliyu escaped a death sentence in Saudi Arabia by a whisker after a cartel planted drug in her bag at the Aminu Kano Airport. Fortunately for Zainab, investigations in Nigeria revealed her innocence — Which prompted the Nigerian government to move swiftly for her freedom.

Aliyu’s case has served as an eye opener to many Nigerian travellers.

Senator Sani in his advice says videotaping your actual luggage will prevent you from falling into the hands of those in the “business of setting people up”.

Advice; When traveling in or out of the country, use your phone to videotape the actual luggage you are checking in at the Airport counter, to protect yourself from those in the business of setting up. A stitch in time saves nine, he tweeted.
