Coronavirus: Reps To Suspend Plenary For Two Weeks

The lower chambers of the National Assembly has moved to suspend plenary activities for the next two weeks, following the outbreak of coronavirus in Nigeria.

The motion was moved by the minority leader of the house, Ndudi Godwin Elumelu (PDP-Delta) while the motion was seconded by Josiah Edem(PDP-Akwa Ibom).

The house then adopted the motion stressing that the period would allow the Management of the National Assembly and principal officers, provide screening and detention facilities at the complex.
