The occasion themed, “Nigeria at Crossroads, Labour Party as the only option” had the national chairman of LP, Julius Abure, and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, present.

Mr. Wabba, in his speech, said that the union would play a significant role in changing the face of politics at the 2023 general election.

Reacting to opposition parties’ claim that the LP has no structure, Wabba dismissed such view, stating that, “We have structures. Human beings are structures.”

“We must activate it. We are activating all our structures in all the 774 LGAs and we have over 12 million members that will vote,” Mr. Wabba said.

Mr. Falana also urged the NLC, Trade Union Congress, and other associated bodies to mobilise Nigerians to win the upcoming 2023 presidential election.

Mr. Falana’s comment laid more emphasis on the views of Mr. Wabba in terms of mobilising 12 million electorates to vote for the LP presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
