Amusan Conferred With National Honour, Medalists Gifted N200 Million

Tobi Amusan has been conferred with the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) by the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari.

The 25-year-old received the award today in State House, Abuja, and now has her name on the list of awardees conferred with national honour.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari also announced a N200 million gift for Nigerian medalists at various international games, including the Commonwealth Games, for their outstanding performances.

Tobi Amusan has had a successful year on the track. She currently holds African, commonwealth, and World Records. Tobi became the first Nigerian World Champion in an athletics event after winning the gold medal in the 2022 World Athletics Championships 100 metres hurdles.
