England Relegated From League A to B in Nations League

England has been relegated from League A in the Nations League after Gareth Southgate’s side was beaten 1-0 by Italy at the San Siro.

England showed a poor outing in the group, with three losses and two draws out of five games.

The Three Lions needed at least a draw in Italy to stand a chance of staying in the League, But the defeat confirmed their relegation to League.

For England, this latest defeat now represents the nation’s worst run of form in over eight years, as the Three Lions have now lost three of their last five international matches and have not scored a goal in over 452 minutes of open play.

These poor results mean England has been relegated to the second tier (League B) for the 2024-25 UEFA Nations League, which takes place between September 2024 and June 2025.
