The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has revealed that he has returned property, belonging to lateĀ Raymond Dokpesiā children, despite their political differences.
The former governor of Rivers State, led this out while addresing journalists in Abuja, on Tuesday, clarifying that although, he and the Daar Communication founder were not politically connected, he ensured that he didnāt seize what rightfully belong to his family.
Wike said: āThe founder of AIT, the late Dokpesi, you know, i was
not on good terms politically before he died. But two to three nights ago, his Children came to me and I said look, even though your dad and I were not good politically. I cannot allow this to happen to you people.ā

āI called the director of land, called the ES FCDA, called the Director, Urban and Rural planning and said, let me go and visit the place. That was on Thursday.
āI saw houses on top while they were blasting the rock. I said, What is this?
āDirector, you people allocated
this rock to people? l said, something must be wrong with you people. Go and get me a memo, Iām going to
sign it now.ā
āAnd I cancelled that allocation, this is wickedness. I told Dokpesiās children, bring your papers, because what is wrong is wrong.
āThe children were shocked. Why do I have to? youāve seen what is wrong but simply because you donāt have a good relationship, you visit the sin of parents on the children.ā āEverybody knows my position that politically I wasnāt in a good relationship with their father.
āBut is that why i should continue when the man in question is not alive?ā
ā| said, ātake back your property. I told them, go and withdraw the matter from court. I canāt be here and watch such things happen.ā
