The FCT police command, Gwarinpa division, is on the trail of a taxi driver who allegedly abducted his victim, a middle aged woman, raped her and is now demanding N5 million. The woman who resides in Gwarinpa, nnarrated her ordeal yesterday, to the police.
The lady in question explained how she boarded a taxi from Gwarinpa to Wuse, when on the way, “the driver sprayed air freshener in the cab.
“I woke up in an uncompleted building naked and messed up. I received an envelope the next day containing a video disc showing how I was raped.
“The envelope also contained a demand for me to pay N5 million into an account in one of the new generation banks,’’ she concluded.
A police source confirmed the incident and said “investigation into the matter is still on.” Meanwhile, as yuletide draws nigh, individuals, particularly travelers have been adviced to be security-conscious when using public transportation.
