CNNP Thumbs Down Ribadu’s Task Force Report… Calls It ‘A Big Mess’

Alhaji Balarabe Musa, yesterday rejected the report of the Petroleum Revenue Special Task Force headed by Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.

Musa, who is a former governor of old Kaduna State and Chairman, Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP),  however, asked President Goodluck Jonathan to as a matter of urgency, disband the committee and set up a capable investigation team that would do the job for Nigerians.

It would be recalled that chairman of the 20-member task force and former Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Nuhu Ribadu and former Head of Service of the Federation, Steve Oronsaye and Mr Bernard Oti, openly disagreed bitterly about the outcome of the report when it was presented to President Goodluck Jonathan last Friday.

Alhaji Musa, while describing the report as a mess, said the remark by President Jonathan after the whole brouhaha fell below expectation. “The whole committee should be disbanded and new people should be appointed by the president to do a fresh job. The report is a big mess because it lacks credibility. Nigerians will not accept that report,” he said.
