Stratus Africa Limited: HR Business Partner

Stratus Africa Limited – We are a company supplying ICT services within the Oil & Gas Industry based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. We are looking for a Nigerian National, ideally from the Rivers State who is an experienced HR Business Partner with strong leadership development skills to grow the capability of our Supervisors and Managers.

The HR Business Partner is responsible for driving people processes and practices across the business. This role will assist in the development and delivery of effective HR programmes to enable and enhance business success.

Job Description

Work with the Expatriate HR Manager to deliver the HR direction across the business
Ensure compliance with both local legislation and Nigerian Labour Law
Build internal and external talent pipelines to recruit high calibre talent (includes managing end to end recruitment process and employee induction)
Assist in identifying personal development and training needs through a talent management and succession planning process, includes conducting learning needs analysis and ensure all employees have the requisite skills
Work with the Expatriate HR Manager to implement the HR Rhythm of the Business (ROB) which will include:
annual KPI’s,
bi-annual performance review
career development discussions
Oversee the payroll operations to ensure they are accurate and on time
Ensure regular compensation and remuneration reviews to ensure internal consistency and parity with the external market
Assist with the partnering with management team to create high performing teams with a culture of accountability
Conduct investigations and disciplinary meetings where and when necessary
Ensure confidentiality of HR-related information
Assist and/or manage ad hoc projects and duties when required
Desired Skills & Experience

Strong project management, prioritization and planning skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, strong communication (written/verbal)
You will need to be willing to do what it takes to get the job done, have a strong systems thinking perspective and have creative problem solving and analytical skills
The ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities and deal with ambiguity in an environment with competing priorities is important; as is an appropriate sense of urgency with an ability to work under pressure and within short time constraints.
You need to be able to be versatile and flexible in a dynamic business environment.
