Embattled Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has dismissed speculations that he is set to dump the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, following his suspension from the party.
Amaechi, who spoke in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. David Iyofor, on Thursday, explained that contrary to the comments attributed to the State Publicity Secretary of the Action Congress of Nigeria, Mr. Jerry Needam, he was still in the ruling party.
Amaechi therefore dismissed claims that he had approached the ACN as outright lies and a figment of the imagination of the opposition party’s spokesman.
Information Nigeria reports that Needam had in a statement in Port Harcourt, said the ACN had nominated two members of the party in the state to discuss the possibility of accepting Amaechi into its fold.
But the governor insisted that he was already challenging his suspension from the PDP in court, adding that he had never met with anybody to discuss a movement from the ruling party to the ACN.
I think the problem Amechi is having now is inability to understand Authority and Power.
it is true that Amechi have power but, he should understand that Authority make the power function at all level
take it or leave it presidency have the authority to make every sit of power in the state to function he should politically understand that he is under the party authority which is PDP and by extension Mr. president who hold the key to lock and unlock his function to some extent
I advice governor Amechi not to leave the ruling party bcs it may not go well with him politically bcs PDP is a party filled political ideologist in the fist place g Rotimi Amechi should understand the idea that brought him to the office as the governor of the state, finally as Nigerian he go and humble himself b4 Mr. president.
To some governors who are following Amechi now should become tools to unit him with the oga @the top.

You don’t need to leave PDP because you’re out already,take you acclaimed 2 million votes to Buhari & Tinubu.
We masses are better léft out of this.if the same power you use to impoverish our lives is being used to oppress one another,it makes an interesting spectacle.am only sorry for the poor amechi
